Stellaris Daily Changelogs
... for stuff we actually remember to document.
06-22-10
- Just in case anybody is using this page to determine how much work has been done, please be aware that we never, ever update it. It will be in use once there are changes worth actually noting to players, not development progress.
06-20-09
- Added obstacle avoidance to autopilot.
- Added name parsing to autopilot. Everything is using a magical "every object in space is known to me" database for the moment.
- Added a, uh, stop command. Pretty helpful!
- Added a PROJECT command to allow to you project a set of destination coordinates based on the distance you specify on your current heading.
- Added STATUS FTL to display rated speed, fuel consumption, available fuel, and estimated traversable distance. Also updated STAT COMPONENT to display a short, but mostly relevant, column of information on a component.
03-09-09
- Fixed 852.7 bugs in various builder verbs and added some more.
- Implemented basic terrain. Right now all it accomplishes is either being aesthetic or a natural barrier and preventing people from going on direction or another.
03-06-09
- Implemented the framework for varying species.
- Added the STANCE command and accompanying help file.
02-25-09
- Began working on ships again. Basic launch capabilities are now in place.
02-13-09
- Forgot which I already mentioned, but basically added the following commands: make city, make spaceport, spaceport config, make go, make door, door view, dig, remove exit, remove door. Probably others. Essentially all of the basic builder tools are complete.
02-12-09
- Fixed several bugs/DESIGN FLAWS in the automatic mapper to allow it to work with dynamic rooms on the planetary scale. Who knew Miriani dynamic room mapping was so awful? NOT ME, THAT'S WHO.
02-11-09
- Added doors and a door help file.
02-10-09
- Added several help files.
- Finished landing, planetary flight control (not approach), and ship-to-ship commlinks.
- Added the oh-so-important /announcements/ page to the site.
- Implemented city/spaceport placement on the map as well as entering/exiting cities from any point outside the city/spaceport on the planet's surface, provided it's not a "blocked room".
02-07-09
- Fixed several bugs relating to the webserver, most of which involved CSS inclusion.
- Modified builder commands to be more user friendly and to assist in avoiding illogical building.
- Added planet creation tools.
- Fixed reports so that they can actually be viewed.
- Implemented basic dynamic rooms for planetary surfaces. Still needs a few minor adjustments, such as movement messages/checks and groups, but for now it's sufficient.
- Stars now show up properly in scans.
- Fixed a collision detection bug that, under special circumstances, would allow you to careen into the side of a planet.
02-05-09
- Added the web help system, along with an extremely exciting help file!
01-30-09
- Implemented the HEADING, THRUST, and BURST commands.
- Added maneuvering thrusters, which have a rating of 1 rotation per <x> seconds. Modified the HEADING command to change the heading in 45 degree increments, suspending for <x> seconds inbetween.
- Fixed a bug where the distance between your ship and a planet was being measured by the center of the planet rather than the closest point of the planet's exterior to you.
- Implemented STATUS ENGINE, STATUS SENSOR, and STATUS COMPONENTS.
- Added basic collision detection. Simply enough to keep you from ramming into a planet or other ship directly.
01-25-09
- Condensed the policies and added a policies website.
- Implemented various common color options.
