General-Options

Syntax:
GENERAL-O*PTIONS <number or part of option's name>
Aliases: GEN-O

Description:
Allows you to set a number of general-purpose options related to gameplay.

* Group items in bags and rooms: When you have more than one of a certain type of object in a container, all of those items will be placed into a group instead of listing individually. For example, instead of seeing: "You see an apple and an apple here." you will see "You see two apples here."

* Attempt to maintain connection with a periodic MCP string: Many players find that they are unable to maintain their connection to Stellaris when they've been idle for a certain period of time. Oftentimes this can be remedied by their connection periodically receiving a string from the MOO to maintain the connection. With this option enabled, you will receive the string "#$#keep_alive" every 3 minutes or so that you're idle. It should be invisible to most MCP-aware clients.
