Policy 4: Bugs/Loopholes/Cheating
While playing Stellaris, you will undoubtedly encounter bugs and logic errors. Oftentimes, these errors aren't critical and are automatically reported to the staff. However, sometimes bugs or loopholes may be abusable. An example of an abusable bug or loophole is if you happen to visit a store in Stellaris and discover that, when you buy an item, it adds credits to your account instead of subtracting them. As a player, it is your responsibility to report it to the hosts immediately. You can do this by using the REPORT command. Please provide as much detail as possible when submitting a report.
Cheating is an extremely broad category and it would be impossible to fully encompass all possible instances of what defines it. While instances of cheating will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, a general rule of thumb to define cheating is: Anything that attempts to work around game policies or limitations built into the game. As every situation can't be predicted, this policy requires the use of a bit of common sense on the player's part. If something you are doing feels like cheating, it probably is. If you are unsure, you are required to ASSIST to ask. Otherwise it will be assumed you were knowingly cheating. For frame of reference, an example of cheating would be giving your friend an expensive item to hold so they can give it to your new character after you reroll.
Punishment: If you intentionally abuse a bug or loophole, you'll have anything you gained removed along with an additional [REPLACE THIS] penalty. The second offense is removal of ALL of your [REPLACE THIS]. The third is a banning. These punishments apply to all players discoverved to be involved in the cheating.
