Policy 5: Scripting
For the most part, it is required that Stellaris is played "by hand". It is considered a violation of this policy if you use a system that allows you to automate a portion of the game by causing your client to respond to certain conditions or perform a task that you would normally have to enter commands for. This includes the use of scripts, macros, triggers, command stacking, aliases, or any other system available that allows you to play the game without you ever interacting with it.
For example, a script, macro, or trigger may allow you to without typing any commands, or typing less commands is not allowed. This would give you an unfair advantage over other players. Command stacking is also not allowed. Command stacking is the use of a multi-line command line or splitter to send multiple commands to the MOO at once. This may allow you to quickly run by someone waiting to outside your ship, or shoot an unsuspecting person before they can possibly react. Command stacking also includes typing your commands out in advance and pasting them into the game so they all execute at once. Typing them in advance and using the command recall feature of your client to execute them is also command stacking.
There are some cases in which we allow the use of triggers or macros. Generally, we allow them to be used if their use does not affect another player. An example of this would be if you had a macro that you used for communicating with other players. If you are unsure if using a macro or trigger would be acceptable, you are required to ASSIST and ask or else you may be in violation of this policy.
Punishment: Scripting is not tolerated. You will be permanently banned if you write a script to automate gameplay. No warnings.
